Bloom’s Taxonomy

A modern version of Bloom’s Taxonomy is included here to recognize various different levels of understanding and to encourage you to work towards higher-order understanding (those at the top of the pyramid). All Objectives, Investigations, Activities, etc. are color-coded with the level of understanding.

Question 10

Use the above DESMOS links to find the following:

  1. Estimate (to 2 decimal places} 12ex2dx using L4.

    1. Is L4 an overestimate? an underestimate?
    2. Use the shape of the curve to explain.
  2. Estimate (to 2 decimal places} 01x2sin(x2)dx using R4.

    1. Is R4 an overestimate? an underestimate?
    2. Use the shape of the curve to explain.
  3. Estimate (to 2 decimal places} 011x3+1dx using M4.

    1. Is M4 an overestimate? an underestimate?
    2. Use the shape of the curve to explain.
  4. Estimate (to 2 decimal places} 58cos3(x3)dx using T4.

    1. Is T4 an overestimate? an underestimate?
    2. Use the shape of the curve to explain.
  5. Estimate (to 2 decimal places} 05ex/10cos3(x2)dx using S4.

    1. Is S4 an overestimate? an underestimate?
    2. Use the shape of the curve to explain.
